Chipotle Operations Veteran Joins Luna GrillJuly 2013
Luna Grill, the San Diego based Mediterranean restaurant known as “The Ultimate Kabobery,” is welcoming Daniel Lowe to its management team. Lowe has been brought on board to fill the newly created position of Director of Operations.
Lowe’s most recent experience derives from his work at Chipotle Mexican Grill, where he held various management positions. He developed operational expertise as area manager in Washington DC, and was later promoted to become the Operations Director for multiple territories including New England, Upstate New York and Minnesota/Wisconsin. He was responsible for up to 65 restaurants and numerous team members. Over the course of his eleven year career at Chipotle he developed and managed annual sales budgets in excess of 100 million dollars. He recognized, coached, and advanced talent within his team, and played a key role in the growth of the thriving fast casual concept that is Chipotle.
Luna Grill is preparing to open its tenth location in the fall and planning additional store openings. The Mediterranean fast casual concept is growing quickly and Lowe’s experience will greatly benefit the expanding company. The addition of the newly designated Director of Operations will allow the company to accelerate its growth while maintaining its exceptional standards of excellence.
Lowe conveys his feelings on his new position stating, “I am very excited to be a part of this amazing team of people and offer any experience I can to help us grow stronger into the future while maintaining Luna Grill’s original mission of providing our customers, ‘good food that is good for you’.”
Lowe was born in Fremont, California and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is married and has three wonderful children. His family recently made the move to San Diego with him and is excited to join him on his Luna Grill adventure.
